They even provided supplies for a batch of s’mores! Provided WiFi in our cabin was spotty and not quite good enough for dependable streaming (our cabin was one of the farther cabins from the WiFi access point). Kitchen stocked with pots, pans, eating utensils and the basics like a cookie sheet, colander, toaster, coffee pot (with coffee and filters!), etc. We did not use fire pit or seating area outside due to cool temps. teenager loved having his own room down stairs while us parents and other two boys were in loft upstairs (us parents had own room too). Spacious for our family (boys 15, 11 and 6). Our visit was just before snow/winter set in but cabin was warm and cozy (electric heaters throughout). If you are looking for a truly unique cabin, full of custom carpentry and ample space, the Barn is hard to beat.We just finished a 3-4 day October stay at “the Barn” cabin at BackRoads Inn & Cabins as part of our family roadtrip from the east coast and could not have been more pleased. As if this weren't enough, off of the back of the Barn's main floor is a large covered porch, a private fire pit, and gas grill. Above the west side is a large loft with two twin beds and a master bedroom and bath in the back with its own private deck.
The east side has a bedroom and a living room with a queen-sized Murphy bed. The west side contains a comfortable lounging space, a dining room, a full kitchen, and a bathroom. On the main floor, there are two large rooms divided by a windowed wall.
Originally a sawmill in the early 1900's, the Barn was remodeled in 2012 in a way that allowed its original character to stay intact while also containing modern comfort and a touch of luxury.
